  A. Scope of the Journal:

The International Journal of Molecular and Cellular Medicine (IJMCM) is a peer-reviewed, quarterly publication of Cellular and Molecular Biology Research Center (CMBRC), Babol University of Medical Sciences, Babol, Iran. The journal covers all cellular & molecular biology and medicine disciplines such as the genetic basis of disease, biomarker discovery in diagnosis and treatment, genomics and proteomics, bioinformatics, computer applications in human biology, stem cells and tissue engineering, medical biotechnology, nanomedicine, cellular processes related to growth, death and survival, clinical biochemistry, molecular & cellular immunology, molecular and cellular aspects of infectious disease and cancer research.

The following types of papers are considered for publication: original research works, reviews, mini- reviews, case reports, short communications and letters to the editor in the above mentioned fields.

Normally a letter has no separate sections, it is addressed as a letter to the editor and consequently starts by "Sir,......" .The methods are not fully described and are usually combined with results followed by a short conclusion and without extensive comparison with data of other researchers. The conclusion should support the novelty of the findings. Please click to download a sample letter article.

  B. Manuscript Format:

Manuscripts should be prepared in the Vancouver Style and must be submitted in Word (.doc) format. Only articles in English are considered for publication. Figures, images, artwork, diagrams and tables must be supplied at the end of the manuscript. Please include the Title page, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgement and References in a single file. • All authors listed by first name, last name, and their affiliations, and current addresses.

Three to eight keywords should be added to the end of the Summary. Please use Index Medicus subject headings ( http://www.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/MBrowser.html ).

Abbreviations and/or acronyms should be spelled out in full and abbreviated in parentheses on first use in the text.

 Units:

All measures should be reported in SI units followed, in the text, by traditional units in parentheses. For general guidance on the International System of Units and some useful conversion factors, see 'The SI for the Health Professions' (WHO, 1977). There are two exceptions: blood pressure should be expressed in mm Hg and haemoglobin as g/dl.

Words to be abbreviated should be spelt out in full the first time they appear in the text with the abbreviations in brackets. Thereafter, the abbreviation should be used.

References must be current. Use of references more than 10 years old is discouraged unless they are classic or unique works.
Authors must verify all references. The reference list should follow the text of the manuscript. Follow the Vancover Style for reference formatting and punctuation.
